The Jubilee Beacons, The Queens Celebrations Come To Wallsend

Segedunum Roman Fort in Wallsend joins in as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee when a Beacon will be being lit tonight.

There will be free entry to the Museum from 8pm tonight (04/06/12) with celebrations which will include a performance by North Tyneside’s Youth Circus with the Wallsend Queen’s Diamond Jubilee beacon being lit just after 10pm followed by a spectacular fireworks show at around 10.15pm.

Beacons will be lit in other locations in Geordieland including Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle, Tynemouth Priory, Holy Island and at the Arbeia Roman Fort in South Shields.
