Wallsend Arboretum Photos

The Friends of Wallsend Parks secured £2000 pounds from ‘The Big Tree Plant’ initiative and successfully planted 7 mature specimen trees and several hundred saplings at the Arboretum or ‘Valley’ north of Prince Road directly across from the North end of Richardson Dees Park.

Among the specimens on view as you walk through the park are Maidenhair tree, Swamp cypress, Red oak, Sweet chestnut, Acer Paperbark maple, Cedar of Lebanon and Sweet gum.
