Traders providing goods on Churchill Street & Tynemouth Road In Howdon, Wallsend have expressed their concerns about the proposed new building of a *Tesco store on Churchill Stree where the old council offices & Police houses used to be situated ..
They fear that Howdon which is part of Wallsend will become a a bit of a ghost town if the proposed bid is passed.
According to the letter sent to local resident’s and signed by 10 local businesses including Hoults The Butchers & The Premier Store on Stanley Street
Tesco have been misleading, like all big companies they are trying to get the media and people on their side by offering false hopes.
They are also asking local residents to read the traders response letter and talk to the local businesses involved to either offer support or lose them due to a large group of stores land on their doorstep.

I feel this is a good start for the area and there is many of people out of work including my self and this could create more jobs,I am currently a resident on Churchill street and have no obligation of this going ahead.
